North Coast Ceramics (NCC) is a vibrant community of professional ceramic artists living and working along the stunning North Coast of New South Wales. Dedicated to promoting and sustaining the art of ceramics, NCC offers members valuable opportunities to connect with the public, exhibit their work, and grow their artistic practices.

NCC hosts three major annual events: the celebrated Mud Trail (August), now in its twelfth year, which opens studios to visitors, the Pre-Christmas Ceramic Market (November), and the NCC Award exhibition. Alongside these events, NCC supports members and the public with professional development programs and exhibition opportunities year-round, fostering a thriving community passionate about clay and creativity.

  Community  Engagement

North Coast Ceramics is keen to build grass roots relationships and to create dialogue across the diversity and fabric of the community. At our heart, sits the logo of a bowl. Simple and ageless, a bowl is an object that holds. NCC holds respect and love, of creativity, place and community, at its core.

Currently, NCC supports two local charities: Federal Loves Refugees and the Country Women’s Association (Bangalow Branch). At our two annual markets, you will find a table of bowls (made and donated by members) from which 100% of funds raised from sales are given to either charity. It is a gesture of reciprocity that promotes thoughtful buying power and helps sustain community. It also reflects the region’s cornerstones of generosity and inclusivity.

The commitment echoes NCC’s foundational belief that the arts are an intrinsic part of what contributes to a healthy community.
