Join North Coast Ceramics Inc.

North Coast Ceramics (NCC) is the peak body for ceramics in the Northern Rivers, representing professional and semi-professional ceramicists committed to excellence in their craft. Our rigorous membership criteria ensure that the public can trust they are purchasing from educated, experienced, and professional ceramic artists.

For just $50 per year, you can become an NCC member and gain your own dedicated space on this website. Membership is valid from 1st January to 31st December each year and is open to ceramicists with studios located in the Byron, Ballina, or Lismore Shires.

Not based within the NCC footprint? You can still get involved!

We’re excited to welcome artists from outside the current NCC footprint to participate in our markets—and potentially, the renowned Mud Trail.

If you’re a ceramic artist based outside the Byron, Ballina, or Lismore Shires, you can become a "Market" member, giving you the opportunity to sell your work at NCC markets and receive a dedicated listing on our website for increased visibility.

Want to take part in the Mud Trail? Find an NCC member within the Mud Trail footprint who is willing to host you, and you’ll be eligible to join the event! As with all NCC members, “Market” members must meet our quality and professionalism standards and pay the standard membership fee.

To participate in the Mud Trail, you must be an NCC member and pay the same participation fee as all other Mud Trail potters. This includes a listing in the brochure, and all Mud Trail artists are expected to contribute to making this incredible event a success.

How to Apply

To apply, please complete the membership form below, ensuring you have all required information ready before you begin. Your application will be reviewed by the NCC committee, and you will be notified once a decision is made. Membership fees are payable upon approval.

Applications are assessed individually on merit, but please note that NCC is a volunteer-run organisation led by practising artists. Response times may vary depending on committee availability, but all applicants will receive feedback as part of the process.

We look forward to welcoming you into our thriving ceramics community!
