JOHN STEWART

John’s ceramic production has spanned more than 50 years. He started throwing on the wheel in 1972 and has since worked in most modes of ceramic production – hand forming, slip casting, jigger jolly, wood firing, decals and more. Of parallel importance to John is his commitment to quality education in the Creative Arts. Beginning in 1976 at Liverpool TAFE, he ended with a 30-year stint at Lismore TAFE, 20 years as Head Teacher of The Creative Industries Faculty.
