RICHARD JONES
I first started learning pottery at Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches in 1975 but soon got involved with starting a business and then with Project Jonah’s Save the Whale campaign, founding Greenpeace Australia, publishing, and editing Simply Living magazine and then spent fifteen years in the NSW Parliament as a Member of the Legislative Council.
After I left Parliament, I started to regenerate the rainforest at Possum Creek where my studio is located. I’ve been making ceramics full time since 2007.
